EVERGREEN
About us
Hi there, we’re Emma and Bradley Clay.
We are married, both teachers, and have over 15 years of experience each in education in the local area. Teaching has always been at the heart of what we do. It is something we love and feel very proud of.
Over the years we have also been lucky enough to work alongside some truly gifted people who share our passion for education. They bring with them a wealth of experience and expertise, and together we wanted to create a place where children could be supported not just in their learning but also in their emotional development, all while having fun.
That is how Evergreen was born. Our camps offer children a real sense of belonging, a place where they are seen and heard, and where they benefit from being surrounded by educational professionals who understand how to nurture and inspire them. We combine exciting games and activities that build sportsmanship, teamwork, and computational thinking with plenty of joy and creativity.
We are so proud of the community that has grown around Evergreen, and we would love to welcome you and your family to join us at our next camp.

Our Philosophy
Education
Our lively, focused English and maths sessions keep skills fresh during the holidays. By weaving learning into play, children stay connected to their development in a fun, sociable, and supportive environment.
Coding
We focus on computational thinking through coding activities, Cubetto robots, and logic-based games. Children develop problem solving, communication, and collaboration while building confidence in their ideas.
Sportsmanship
We believe games are about more than winning. Children explore a variety of sports and activities that build coordination, teamwork, and resilience while learning to respect rules, opponents, and the joy of playing together.
Environment
Set within the unique grounds of Herne Hill School, children benefit from inspiring surroundings including an all weather pitch and woodland space, perfect for adventure, discovery, and outdoor learning.

Food and Allergies
We are a completely nut-free and sesame-free camp. Please check all snacks carefully, especially bars, hummus, and tahini. Snack bars are the most common culprit. This policy is taken very seriously to ensure the safety of all children.
Lunch and Snacks
Children must bring a packed lunch, extra snacks, and a refillable water bottle. Water is available all day. Lunch and snack breaks are fully supervised.
Medical
Children must not attend if unwell (fever, vomiting or diarrhoea in last 48 hours, recent concussion, or any contagious illness).
Medication
All medication must be labelled and handed to staff with written instructions (child’s name, dose, time, and duration). We cannot administer medication without written consent.
Staff
All staff are DBS checked to ensure a safe and secure environment.
What to Bring
Children should wear comfortable play clothes and trainers. Please send a coat if the weather is cool or wet, and a sun hat in summer. Label all belongings clearly.
Sun Safety
Apply sun cream before arrival. If needed, send a labelled bottle for reapplication during the day (staff will support with permission).

Cancellation Policy
At Evergreen, when you make a booking you are making a commitment to attend camp. As a small business, we carefully plan our days around the number of children attending and pride ourselves on providing high-quality staff and excellent ratios. Knowing exactly who is coming helps us deliver the safe, engaging experience your child deserves.
In the past, last-minute cancellations have meant that other families missed out on places, which is the last thing we want. For this reason, our cancellation policy is as follows:
How to cancel
If you need to cancel a booking, please email us at info@evergreenkids.co.uk. Your cancellation is only confirmed once you receive an email reply from us.
Refunds
Your place will immediately be released back onto our website for another family to book. A refund will only be issued if your place is repurchased, and all refunds are subject to a £5 admin charge to cover transaction fees and admin time.
Early drop-off and late pick-up
Bookings for early drop-off and late pick-up are non-refundable, as these are extremely difficult to resell. If you are unsure whether you’ll need this service, we recommend booking your core day first and adding early/late sessions closer to the time, as we can usually accommodate these.
We truly appreciate your understanding. This policy helps us run Evergreen smoothly and fairly, ensuring as many children as possible can enjoy their time at camp.
Where We Are
What Parents Say
-
Loved the daily Instagram videos showing us what the kids had done as very often they’re not able to recall it all. Also love that there’s some learning too! Couldn’t recommend more but that’ll probably mean it’ll sell out even faster in due course!!
If there was one thing you’d say to another parent about Evergreen, what would it be?
-
Meeting new friends and trying new activities. On picking him up after his first day, I was greeted with a beaming smile followed by, “I had the best day ever!”
What did your child enjoy most about their time at Evergreen?
-
The kids are learning while having fun all day!
